As an Environment Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-level and diverse 3D and 2.5D environments for use in live-action VFX using a generalist skillset. Key Responsibilities Assess the most efficient methodology per environment brief along with Lead and/or SupervisorReceive and respond to artistic/technical direction and feedbackApproaches will vary from a 2.5D Matte Painting projection setups, through full 3D asset builds using bespoke and procedural toolsProvide and acquire photographic reference materialsPerform tasks related to integrating imagery into shots and preserving a unified sense of lighting, perspective, and colorUse photography, practical, and digital skills to create photoreal 3D environmentsRevise work based on client and supervisor feedback in a timely mannerCommunicate clearly with production regarding schedule and task assignmentsManage scene files and hand off work to other departments in an organised fashionTroubleshoot and problem solve technical issues independently or with assistance from TDs and/or Pipe Qualifications Minimum three (3) years of previous experience as a Digital Matte Painter or 3DEnvironment Artist for live-action feature and/or televisionStrong understanding of 3D packages including 3ds Max, Maya and Houdini and 2D/Shading packages such as Nuke, Adobe Photoshop and SubstanceKnowledge of supplementary software including ZBrush, Gaea, and SpeedTree also strongly recommended, as well as basic lighting knowledgeStrong Matte Painting and 2.5D projection skills are necessary for an env/dmp roleCompositing and scripting experience is a plusKnowledge of ai/generative workflows and tools is a plusStrong willingness to grow, learn new methods & tools, and share knowledge with othersAbility to work and solve technical issues independentlyAbility to take direction positively, work well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills and an open mindTeam player able to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment About Us Eyeline is a global creative studio partnering with storytellers to turn their ambitions into stunning reality.
