About this role

This role involves collaborating on a creative project to produce a series of engaging 2D animated videos that highlight the heritage sites of Brussels. The videos will serve as a dynamic and slightly humorous guide, with a character narrating the history of each location. The project is part of a tourism-focused thesis and requires close cooperation to ensure the animations are completed by the end of April. The ideal candidate will be available for on-site work in Madrid during the production period.

Deliverables

Create 10 short 2D animated videos, each approximately 3 minutes in length. Develop a consistent visual style and character animation across all videos. Collaborate on storyboarding and script interpretation to ensure historical accuracy and engaging storytelling. Integrate dynamic and humorous elements to make the content accessible and entertaining. Deliver final animations in the required formats and within the agreed timeline.

Requirements

Proven experience in 2D animation, with a strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling and character animation skills. Proficiency in industry-standard animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom, or similar). Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively throughout the creative process. Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting project deadlines. Availability for on-site work in Madrid for a three-month period. Interest or background in cultural, historical, or tourism-related content is a plus.
