Where Behaviour Hires Artists

Behaviour runs live games and new projects at the same time. Knowing which team is hiring tells you what kind of portfolio to send.

Dead by Daylight

Character, Environment, Tech Animation

Most current art hiring is for Dead by Daylight, the horror game Behaviour launched in 2016. Senior character artists make realistic characters, clothing, hair and cosmetics from concept to Unreal Engine, and environment artists build modular, metric-based kits with trim sheets and PBR materials.

  • Realistic horror characters and cosmetics
  • Modular kits and trim sheets
  • Baking, seams and optimization
  • An Unreal Engine pipeline

7 Days to Die

Character Art, Unity

Behaviour bought The Fun Pimps, the team behind 7 Days to Die, in March 2026. Montreal is hiring character artists for the open-world survival game's realistic survivors and zombies, built in Blender and ZBrush and integrated into Unity.

  • Realistic survivors and zombies
  • Blender, ZBrush, Substance and Marvelous Designer
  • Unity integration
  • An open-world survival game

New Games

Exterminauts, Blight: Survival

Behaviour revealed Exterminauts, a gritty third-person co-op shooter with what it calls blue-collar sci-fi DNA, in August 2026, and publishes Blight: Survival, a medieval action-horror game. A Montreal technical animation role is also open on an unannounced project.

  • Exterminauts, due in 2027
  • Blight: Survival (publishing)
  • Darkest Dungeon through Red Hook Studios
  • An unannounced Unreal Engine project

The Behaviour Interactive Hiring Process

Behaviour's careers page describes its hiring process in these steps.

01

Application and Selection

Recruiters review applications, oversee technical tests, run phone interviews and schedule on-site interviews. Apply only through Behaviour's official careers site, because fake Behaviour job offers are circulating.

Official site only
02

Interviews

Depending on the role and project, expect up to three interviews, and you may be asked to complete a technical test. The recruiter also checks references and agrees a start date with you.

Up to three interviews
03

Final Selection

Two or three candidates are seriously considered for each role. Candidates who are not selected are contacted, and their resumes are kept on file.

You hear back either way
04

Offer and Onboarding

An offer is made and onboarding starts once it is accepted. For applicants outside Canada, the Immigration and Mobility team first checks whether a work permit is feasible, and after an offer helps with permits, airport transport and temporary housing.
