Reading (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote) Nicely Done Productions is a video, animation and storytelling studio working with brands including Amazon Business, Vodafone and Canon to create thoughtful, story-led content that sits well beyond typical corporate video. We are looking for a Senior Lead Motion Designer to join the team. This is not a pure management role. This is for someone who specialises in motion design and animation, but is ready to take on responsibility for leading projects and managing the animation team day-to-day. If you have experience delivering high-quality motion work while guiding others and shaping creative output, this role will feel like a natural step up. What you’ll be doing Leading motion design projects from concept through to deliveryDesigning and animating high-quality work across brand, explainer and film contentSetting the creative standard for motion across projectsLine managing and supporting motion designers day-to-dayReviewing work and maintaining quality across the teamWorking closely with producers and directors to ensure ideas translate into strong executionHelping plan workloads and keep animation projects running smoothlyManaging projects from initial brief through to final deliveryActing as the day-to-day lead for the animation team, ensuring work is delivered to a consistently high standard What we’re looking for 4+ years professional motion design / animation experienceStrong portfolio showing high-quality motion design across a range of stylesAdvanced skills in After Effects (and wider Adobe suite)Ability to take ownership of projects, not just execute briefsExperience managing or leading other designers on projects or within a teamStrong creative judgement and attention to detailOrganised and comfortable managing multiple projects at onceExperience working with brands, agencies or production companies Nice to have Experience with 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender, Unreal or similar)Understanding of animation systems and scalable design approachesInterest in AI tools and emerging animation workflowsExperience working across integrated campaigns or longer-form content This role is for someone who wants to be known as both an excellent motion designer and a reliable creative lead.
