You will own the motion layer across everything we ship. Overview That means defining how a site moves, how it feels, and how animation elevates the narrative rather than decorating it. You will work across web animation, video, and visual storytelling, bringing creative concepts to life in a way that makes the work unmistakably ours.You will collaborate closely with our Senior Designers and developers, translating static design into motion systems that are both ambitious and buildable. Some of that will be interaction design for the web: scroll-based animation, page transitions, hover states, micro-interactions. Some of it will be standalone motion work: brand films, showreels, social content, case study videos. You need to be comfortable across both.This is not a supporting role. You will shape the creative direction of motion across the studio and have a direct impact on the work we are known for. Who You Are 5+ years of experience in motion design, with a portfolio that shows range across web animation, brand film, and visual storytellingExpert-level proficiency in After Effects: you can concept, animate, and deliver production-ready motion work at paceStrong working knowledge of web animation principles and how motion translates into development: you understand what GSAP, Lottie, and Rive can do and you design with those constraints and opportunities in mindExperienced specifying animation for developers: you can hand off timing curves, easing values, interaction triggers, and storyboards that a developer can build from without guessworkComfortable in Cinema 4D, Blender, or Spline for 3D work: product renders, abstract visuals, environmental scenes, or whatever the project calls forProficient in Figma: you can work within existing design files, understand component systems, and collaborate with designers without frictionA strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling: you know when motion should be subtle and when it should be the main eventConfident presenting your work to clients and articulating why motion decisions serve the brand narrative and user experienceComfortable working at pace across multiple concurrent projectsA clear communicator who works well alongside designers, developers, and producersBased in or available to work UK/EU hours What You Will be Doing Defining the motion direction for web projects: interaction design, scroll-based animation, page transitions, loading sequences, and micro-interactionsCreating animation specifications and prototypes that developers can implement accurately in GSAP, Lottie, or RiveProducing brand films, showreels, case study videos, and social content that showcase the work and the studioDeveloping 3D assets and renders for web and video where projects require itCollaborating with Senior Designers to ensure motion is considered from the earliest design stages, not bolted on at the endWorking with developers to review and refine implemented animations, ensuring the final build matches the motion intentBuilding and maintaining motion guidelines and reusable animation libraries that scale across projectsContributing to pitch and proposal materials with motion concepts that help win new workPushing the creative standard of motion across OFF+BRAND. and helping define what the studio becomes known for
