Portfolio Tips by Discipline

Environment Artists

Show photorealistic environments with strong modular asset sets. VOLMI works on AAA titles where fidelity is paramount. Include breakdown sheets showing modular kit construction, texture atlases, and Unreal Engine scene assembly. Demonstrate Houdini procedural workflows if applicable.

Vegetation Artists

Show plant assets with LOD chains, wind simulation rigs, and ecosystem integration. Include SpeedTree or Houdini Vegetation workflows. VOLMI's work spans varied biomes across AAA open-world titles, so demonstrating breadth of vegetation types is important.

Character Artists

Show high-res sculpts with clean retopology and game-ready texture maps. Include full character breakdowns from blockout to final shaded render. VOLMI works on character outsourcing for major publishers, so technical accuracy and pipeline adherence are prioritised over stylistic experimentation.

Technical Artists

Show shader graphs, tool scripts, and pipeline documentation. VOLMI's TA roles bridge the art and engine pipeline for co-dev projects. Include examples of Unreal Engine material work and any optimisation profiling. Houdini-to-engine pipeline experience is a strong advantage.
