This opportunity is ideal for experienced VFX artists interested in contributing their portfolio work to a confidential AI research project. The focus is on sourcing high-quality, artist-owned VFX shots for research purposes only. Selected artists will retain all intellectual property rights, and their work will not be used commercially. The project seeks a diverse range of VFX samples, particularly those featuring character or superhero sequences, FX-heavy shots (such as smoke, fire, particles, destruction, or weather effects), and complex compositing or CG/live-action integration. Artists are invited to submit links to their best rendered clips, with optional breakdowns or reels, and provide brief descriptions of each sample, including the tools used, production time, and confirmation of ownership and absence of third-party IP. Payment will be made per sample and source file, with the possibility of additional paid work for minor modifications. Deliverables Submission of links to final rendered VFX shots (minimum one sample, no maximum) Optional: breakdowns or reels accompanying each sample Brief written description for each sample, detailing content, tools used, production time, and ownership confirmation If selected, provision of underlying project/source files (e.g., Houdini, Nuke, Maya) at a later stage Indication of expected payment per sample and hourly rate for ongoing work Requirements Demonstrated experience in VFX creation with a strong, original portfolio Ownership and full rights to all submitted work (no studio, publisher, or client-owned content) No inclusion of third-party IP, copyrighted or trademarked characters, logos, or brands Proficiency in industry-standard VFX software (e.g., Houdini, Nuke, Maya, After Effects) Ability to clearly describe technical and creative aspects of each sample Availability for potential follow-up work involving minor adjustments to submitted samples Professional communication and timely response to project inquiries About Twine Twine is a leading freelance marketplace connecting top freelancers, consultants, and contractors with companies needing creative and tech expertise.
