Shan Hanif is the Founder and CEO of Genflow, one of the world’s leading creator agencies, working with some of the biggest names in content creation, including Iman Gadzhi, Chris Williamson, Grace Beverley, Jun Yuh, Ali Abdaal, James Smith, and many more.Shan creates content focused on business strategy, the creator economy, entrepreneurship, and personal growth, sharing his insights across YouTube, Instagram, Threads and X.We are now looking for a full-time Motion Graphics Designer to work across Shan’s content, with a primary focus on animations and visual explainers for organic, viral & retention optimised long-form YouTube videos and additional support across short-form content. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a YouTube-first role. We are looking for someone who understands how motion can improve clarity, retention, pacing and overall viewer experience. We’re not looking for animation for the sake of visuals but for animation that genuinely adds clarity and depth. Making ideas easier to understand, more visually engaging, and more memorable.You will work closely with the editing team and strategy team. Mostly from the editor’s rough cut, the script and the video brief. This is not a purely executional role, you will also be expected to think creatively, suggest stronger approaches, and help shape the visual language of a video. The best person for this role understands how to use motion design to explain a concept better than words alone could, while maintaining consistency, continuity and flow across the full video. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design motion graphics for long-form YouTube videos and, where required, short-form content in After Effects.The core of the assets you will be creating is explainers, callouts, titles, graphs, charts, lower thirds, text animations, cutaways and supporting visuals + anything else needed for the specific video.Design kinetic text and transitions that improve retention and pacing.Build advanced list animations and other visual devices that help optimise viewer retention.Create graphics that make concepts easier to understand and more engaging to watch.Maintain visual continuity and thematic consistency throughout each video.Tie animations together in a way that makes the overall viewing experience feel smooth and cohesive.Work from the editor’s rough cut and build motion assets that elevate the final piece.Contribute original ideas for how scenes, concepts, and moments could be improved visually.Collaborate closely with the wider creative team to strengthen the final output.Deliver polished work on time and manage deadlines effectively. ABOUT YOUExperience & SkillsYou are fluent in English.You are based in EMEA and able to work within GMT ±2.You are highly skilled in the Adobe Suite, specifically After Effects.You have proven experience creating motion graphics for large YouTube channels.You understand how to design for retention, clarity and pacing, not just aesthetics.You have a strong eye for continuity, flow and visual consistency across a full video.You are able to make content feel more premium, cohesive and engaging through motion.Your work is clean, visually strong, and engaging without feeling childish or overdone.You are creative and proactive, and do not just follow instructions blindly.You are confident suggesting better ideas when you believe something could be improved.You work well with others, communicate clearly, and do not need constant oversight.
